Are you working in the
– Digital transformation in industry;
– Engineering for the energy and the environment or
– Materials and manufacturing?
The Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) and the Academy of sciences will award the following two prizes for a total amount of €45,000.
Each prize will be awarded to a scientist of any nationality working in France or in Europe in close collaboration with French teams.
1) – The Grand Prize IMT – Academy of sciences of 30,000 euros.
This annual prize, established by IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom) in partnership with Fondation Mines-Télécom, is intended to reward a scientist who has contributed an outstanding body of work, recognized as scientific breakthroughs which have enabled the advancement of problematics stemming from industry or the private sector, serving sustainable economy, in one of the following scientific and technological fields:
- Digital transformation in industry;
- Engineering for the energy and the environment;
- Materials and manufacturing
2) – The IMT – Academy of sciences Espoir Prize of 15,000 euros.
This annual Prize, established by IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom) in partnership with Fondation Mines Télécom, is intended to reward a scientist under 40 years old, as of January the 1st of the year of the prize (this limit may be extended by one additional year per child). The grantee should have, through a major innovation, contributed to the advancement of problematics stemming from the industry or the private sector, serving sustainable economy goals, in one of the following scientific and technological areas:
- Digital transformation in industry;
- Engineering for the energy and the environment;
- Materials and manufacturing

Nominations for these prizes must be submitted by Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the latest.
